OUTLET UNIT I, OUTLET UNIT II AND OUTLET UNIT III
Particularly on long-haul flights, travellers don’t want to have to do without electrical equipment, like laptops. Because the passengers come from many different countries, the builders of aeroplanes face a real technical challenge. First class and business class passengers in particular expect a power supply to be provided near their seat so that they can use their equipment during the flight. And they don’t expect to have to use a special adapter or converter.
Through the Outlet Unit models, Sky-Engineering has developed “in-seat power supply modules” which are compatible with the plug systems from more than 150 different countries and also meet the very stringent safety requirements for passengers and aircraft. This system has made Airbus a market leader in 110-volt systems – more than 100,000 systems have been produced and supplied to date.
